We were approached by director Romain Chassaing and Academy Films UK to design the pitch deck for Saudi Arabia’s high-budget campaign advertisement for Knockout Chaos, a massive crossover boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou. After delivering an immersive, video-game-inspired deck that helped win the gig, the event organizers brought us on to spearhead the overall art direction of the global event, expanding our initial aesthetic across posters and various worldwide deliverables.

The Approach
The main visual inspiration behind the campaign was heavily fueled by Street Fighter and iconic 90s fighting games. Our challenge was to create a larger-than-life sense of high-stakes drama, balancing a contemporary aesthetic that could scale across massive digital and print formats while still homaging that classic retro look.
We leaned into bold, heroic typography and pixel character avatars to make the real-world heavyweights feel like legendary arcade bosses ready for battle. Once we delivered the static title designs, the in-house team at BigTime Creative Shop transformed them into the 3D renders featured in the official campaign video.
Playing with the nostalgia of vintage Game Boy cartridges, we replicated the worn-out, matte dark plastic textures on the edges of the official posters.
