WEKAFORE X DAILY PAPER

The collaboration between Lagos-born artist Wekafore and Daily Paper is written directly into the fabric of the collection, bringing together two of the most exciting African minds in fashion for a shared Afrofuturistic reflection on heritage. I was brought on board to capture the still photography and document the behind-the-scenes creative process during the filming of their global marketing campaign.

The Approach

The goal was to blur the line between genuine behind-the-scenes documentation and official campaign imagery, making every still feel cinematic and intentional. Because the director's lighting setup was uncompromisingly dark (punctured only by sharp neon light) the shoot required deep post-production work to pull definition from the shadows. This allowed me to bring the models' faces to a crisp brightness without losing the nocturnal, futuristic mood of the set.
