ANGELINA BELOFF ART COLLECTION

An endearing portrait of warm summer afternoons, told from the perspective of a group of mischievous kids in a quiet neighborhood. Armed with an old football, a heavy dose of mystery and endless imagination, they turn ordinary streets into a playground. I was tasked with capturing the still photography for this nostalgic and chaotic short film.

The Approach

While the final cut of the film ultimately shifted to color, the initial creative direction was to shoot everything in black and white, a concept that heavily influenced how I framed the contrast and shadows on location. Managing a cast of kids fueled by pure adrenaline and zero attention span wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but their crazy energy created many genuine and unscripted moments. Instead of directing them from a distance, I joined them running around like just another kid in the gang to capture the raw moments they created.
